Remains found near Enumclaw identified as those of man who went missing in 2017

(SEATTLE, WA.) – The King County Sheriff’s Office has announced that human remains found Sept. 1st near Enumclaw, with assistance from Enumclaw Police, have been identified as belonging to those of a man who went missing almost two years ago.
The remains were found near the 38800 block of 258th Avenue SE.
The County Medical Examiner has identified the remains as that of 33-year old Kristian Burnstad. His family reported him missing in May 2017.
The last known sighting of Kristian was on February 7, 2017 in Enumclaw. The ME’s office will determine cause and manner of death at a later date.
The King County Major Crimes Detectives will continue the investigation into the man’s death with the help of Enumclaw PD.
