July 13, 2018
(REGIONAL) – There’s a lot of stuff going on with roadways and highways this weekend, closures for this and that, detours hither and yonder.
So depending upon where you drive, you can expect some delays.
First off, here in Snohomish County this weekend marks the first of many closures coning on US Highway 2 in Everett for some repaving work.
From 7 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday all lanes of westbound Highway 2 between SR 204 and Homeacres Road/20th Street Southeast will be closed. And, the Westbound SR 204 off-ramp to westbound Highway 2 will be closed and the 20th Street Southeast on-ramp to westbound Highway 2 will be closed as well.
And now through Sunday, you can expect some delays headed eastbound on I-90 between North Bend (milepost 34) and the summit of Snoqualmie Pass (milepost 52) due to full day (24 Hr) lane closures.
From now through mid-August the westbound lanes of I-90 between milepost 47 (near Denny Creek) and milepost 52 (near the summit of Snoqualmie Pass) will be reduced to two lanes as work crews repair some bridge decks.
In Seattle the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 will be closed from the West Seattle Bridge to Olive Way for work on the Revive I-5 project. The closure is from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Also in Seattle, Southbound on Interstate 5 will be reduced to two lanes across the Ship Canal Bridge on Sunday from 2 am to 12 noon for some deck repair work and the Northeast 45th Street on-ramp to southbound I-5 will also be closed.
In Tukwila there will be lane reductions on northbound on I-5 for repair work being done on the Duwamish River Bridge.
