Former Seattle Police Sgt. Found Guilty Of Raping His Oldest Daughter For More Than A Decade
June 14, 2018

(SEATTLE, WA.) -- In a stunning case of what a jury determined to be long term sexual abuse of his own children, a former Seattle Police Sgt., Daniel Amador was convicted Wednesday of raping his oldest daughter for more than a decade and routinely molesting the younger daughter.

A report by SeattlePI.com said a jury found Amador, 46, guilty Wednesday afternoon of four counts related to the rape and molestation of his two older daughters.

Amador had been out on bail. After the trial ended he was detained by court officers. Amador will be sentenced on a date to be later determined. The SeattlePI.com report said the jury heard evidence that:

~ Amador routinely raped his older daughter, about five times a week with the rapes beginning when she was about 9 years old and continued until she was in college.

~ Amador also molested numerous times his younger daughter. Amador would lie on top of her and grope her while they were sometimes partially or fully naked.

~ The girls are now young women aged 24 and 19. While in college in March of 2016 the older daughter finally revealed to the younger daughter what had happened to her all those years at the hands of her father and the next month both girls went to the police to tell their stories of what they said their father had done to them.

~ The Lake Forest Park Police Department arrested Amador in April 2016. He posted $750,000 bail and resigned from the Seattle Police Department in June that year after serving 21 years with the SPD.
