BREAKING NEWS

She walked into a Seattle pizza joint and hosed em’ down with Bear Spray
May 18, 2018

Chronicle staff

(SEATTLE, WA.) – The act appeared to be rude, uncalled for and very insensitive to the needs of others.

Police say it was also not legal and therefore they wish to find the woman with the Bear Spray.

SPD detectives are looking for help tracking down a woman who attacked the staff at a South Seattle pizza shop with bear mace last week.

Exactly why she did that remains unclear. But here’s the caper: Police say last Friday, May 11th, the woman walked into the restaurant in the 3700 block of Rainier Avenue South, looked around, and then walked outside.

Then she came back minutes later with a can of “bear mace in her hand, accompanied by a man carrying a toddler.”

The plot thickens.

The woman then begins shouting at employees (what she was shouting and why were not made public) and then sprayed five staff members with a can of bear mace. The suspect and her companions then left the scene.

The employees were treated at the scene by Seattle Fire Dept. staff.

The employees had to close the restaurant and discard all the food on site due to the amount of bear mace sprayed at the scene.

Here’s another rather weird angle to the story.

Four days after that happened, on May 15th, a second woman walked into the same restaurant also carrying a can of bear mace and threatened employees.

Why she threatened them (were they not putting enough cheese on the pizzas?) and what she said to the employees were not made public by the police, but it would appear both women had some type of a beef with someone or some employees (more than one) at the pizza shop.

That second woman was arrested a short time later for “witness intimidation and booked into the King County Jail.”

If you have any information about the first female suspect (seen in video below) or know where police can find her, please call 911 or (206) 233-5000. Thank you for your attention to this criminal matter.
