Bubba’s Bar & Grill in Sultan is gonna be a bumpin’ and a
grindin’ when the
Burying Ground gets to town.
In an exclusive
interview with this newspaper, renowned Snohomish, WA based musician
Lowdown Ramblers) and world traveler David Clay has disclosed that a
Canadian band, The
Burying Ground, is headed south to do a gig at Bubba’s.
“Got to see and hear them in
Victoria, B.C., Canada last week,” said Clay. “The
Burying Ground has a lively and gritty sound with tight harmony and
a driving rhythm section reminiscent of the music of the juke joints
halls of the 1920's and '30s. The band moves effortlessly between
music, the yearning of country blues and the embellishments and energy
ragtime and jazz. “
but don’t he talk good? Damn straight he does.
The Burying Ground will do Bubba’s on Feb. 13th (Mardi
Gras!) with the “Puddle Stompers” on the same bill.
Lowdown Ramblers play Bubba’s on February 17th. 2018.
All shows start at 6:30 pm. No
cover charge but there is a suggested donation of $10.
And if you’re a decent God
fearing, patriotic man or woman who appreciates live music, you’ll pony
ten-spot instead of walkin’ through the front door with a handful of
mouthful of much obliged. That kinda attitude is rude. Hey, just sayin.’
