Investigators Seek Information From The Public About Fatal Everett fire

(EVERETT, WA.) – Police detectives and fire investigators are asking the public to provide any information they may have about a fatal December 21st fire in the city.
It happened at a 2-story, 14-unit apartment complex at 2229 Colby Ave at about 10:20 pm that Thursday evening.
It started out as a 2-alrm blaze and quickly went to a 3-alarm fire event.
Everett Police detectives continue working with Everett Fire investigators to determine the cause of the blaze which killed a 76-year-old woman who lived at the complex.
She was badly injured in the fire by smoke inhalation and eventually died at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett on Christmas day.
Another person, also an occupant of the building sustained minor injuries when the occupant jumped approximately 10 feet to the ground to avoid the smoke and flames.
All the occupants of the building were displaced by the fire.
