(SULTAN, WA) -- It’s that time of year again when a large and long standing community Christmas tradition takes place in Sultan.
It's Winterfest, a major holiday crafts festival that's held at Sultan High School. It's hosted by the Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce and this year takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 2nd at the Commons at Sultan High School.
Always well attended, Winterfest features over 50 vendors selling a variety of gifts for Christmas and the holiday season, many of them hand made.
You’ll find jewelry, wreathes, paintings and ceramic items as well as home made baked goods, handmade soaps and candy, hand made Xmas ornaments, yard art, home décor items, photography, live music and coral groups singing Christmas songs and more.
Meet local merchants & service providers and look for special Winterfest deals to save money. And there’s a Kids Zone, a Fun zone that includes arts and craft projects, a Bouncy House and other fun games and activities for kids.
The Sultan Tree Lighting event follows Winterfest, kicking off at 6 p.m. in Sultan’s Main Street Gazebo, located in River Park.
The Tree Lighting includes music, cookies, hot chocolate and a visit from Santa Claus (the real one, not a department store fake) who is transported to the event by the fine folks at Snohomish County Fire District 5.
If you’d like to volunteer at Winterfest, contact the Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce at (360) 793-0983.
