Gold Bar Man Shoots Dog That Was Attacking Him
July 30, 2017

(GOLD BAR, WA.) -- The Snohomish County Sheriff's office says a Gold Man shot a dog Saturday afternoon as he was trying to stop two women from fist fighting in a gas station parking lot.

In a short statement Saturday night the sheriff's office said "the dog was biting him."

The dog did not survive the altercation.

The man was being treated for his injuries at a Monroe hospital while deputies were investigating the fight between the females.

The sheriff's office says the man first got involved trying to stop the fight by yelling at the women to stop and that the dog jumped from one of the women's vehicles, ran to the man and bit him in the leg.

KOMO-TV in Seattle says a witness told the station that the dog was a pit bull and belonged to one of the women involved in the fight.
